The Village
Katie Stotler reports in that "The Village was an odd little movie... and the twists (more than one!) weren't just thrown out there like some of his other movies." She also notes that "The Village wasn't all that scary, which I liked because I hate scary movies". Kevster agrees, saying "I agree with Katie that it was not all that scary, but it was also not very interesting. I actually found it a little dull."

The Manchurian Candidate
Meryl Streep gets good reviews but the movie falls a little flat in the forums. Faust gets thing started calling the film "well-acted", with "some intense scenes throughout." However he concludes that "it is an anonymous political thriller, lacking the real juice and sense of purpose of the original." Sam I Am agrees. Admitting that he "went to see the film primarily to see what Meryl Streep would do with the role made famous by Angela Lansbury," Sam says Streep is "effective" but that “overall the movie is lacking something” and suffers from some "lefty cliché[s]".

The Bourne Identity
faust gives Bourne a "mixed review", saying it was "infinitely better than the dull Bourne Identity" and that "Matt Damon is more believable this time as an assassin" but that "the hand-held camerawork is too dizzying for a feature-length film." These concerns over camera work are echoed by others. kevster says the movie made his mom sick and Sam I Am says "the viewer is never given a second to digest (or for that matter - think) the film just keeps zipping along in a slightly chaotic fashion." Still, he says he "quite liked" the movie.
